CELEBRATING 11 YEARS OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE!
The Rosemont Method™
The Rosemont Method™ was created by Founder-Director Lainie Hansen, an educator with an expertise in Gifted Education. As implemented in our Kindergarten through 8th grade classrooms, The Method is a high energy, innovative, kinetic learning experience that engages your child in higher order thinking processes and skill sets, not just simple memorization.
We expertly scaffold academic lessons (when needed) and bring the student up towards their full academic potential. No aspect of Rosemont Academy's curriculum is based on an ESE (special needs) platform or a modified and/or adapted curriculum.
The Space
Rosemont sits on a beautiful 5 acre campus. Our outdoor space has a baseball diamond, a soccer field, a basketball court with in-ground, regulation basketball hoops, a playground, and plenty of room leftover for science exploration, nature walks, and the occasional lunchtime picnic.
Each bright and oversized classroom is approximately 400 sq. feet and gives the students ample room for group lessons, centers, and small groups. Students can also relax in a classroom reading area, work on individual projects, or move around during the many movement breaks we incorporate into the day for all grade levels. Students spend over six hours a day in their classrooms, they should have room to move.
The Ratio
4:1 Student/Teacher ratio for our Kindergarten through 2nd grade classrooms.
9:1 Student/Teacher ratio for our 3rd-5th grade classrooms.
Our 6th - 8th grade classrooms average 15 students.
Why does each grouping increase in size? As students get older, their need for social interaction increases. Also, in the higher grades, our program incorporates more cooperative and small group learning activities that require a larger class size to facilitate those lessons effectively. We LOVE those lessons because students working in small groups on projects and lessons improve their social, leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
The Graduates

The Right Fit
The Rosemont Method™ is designed for children performing at or above grade level who would benefit from a smaller classroom setting and may or may not require minor to moderate remediation in specific subject areas and/or are struggling with bullying and the social rigors of their current academic setting. Rosemont students are not diagnosed with emotional and/or behavioral issues. Rosemont students do not require an academic or behavioral shadow.
Security
Sadly, this is a frequent question from parents inquiring about our school, but it is an important question in today's world. Our entire campus is fenced in and gated. After drop-off in the morning, only one gate remains open, and all visitors to the campus are cleared by our amazing, full-time security guard, Hernan.
